We begin with the Shustah:
First it is interesting to note all three cards are green. Green in the pages of Shustah represents development, desire, growth and process.
The Pregnant mouse is the card of poverty. It suggests a lack of necessities in living or infirmity.
The Magical Horse is the vehicle of expression. It suggests physical speed and conflict in timing.
The Unicorn is the card of uncontrolled force. It suggests physical energy and vital force. It also suggests emotional sublimation. Now, I am not entirely ashamed to admit that I looked up “sublimation”. It means (in this context) modifying an impulse or natural expression to one that is more socially acceptable.
This makes me wonder if the message is attempting to be too forceful (with situations that are not responding the way we would like) at this time is unwise, and that it could ultimately leave us in worse shape than we currently are in (magical horse + mouse). The wise course of action is to modify that behavior and practice patience – wait until the conflict in timing passes (unicorn + magical horse). This sounds reasonable.
Five card Lenormand draw:
I can’t help but think we are still looking at the love affair that is secret and to be revealed.
The ring is all about parnerships – not always love relationships, but also business contracts. The ring + the whips (or the birch) could be two contracts, but my initial impression was a heated discussion between a married couple. When you add the moon to that equation, it’s a very emotional one at that. The moon is also central here. The moon could mean a woman, it could also mean acknowledgement. If I factor in the lilly – could it be that the couple is planning to come clean about their affair (the lilly could represent sexuality or a lover. The tower can indicate seperation. If you look at the cards in succession, they almost tell a story.
A couple (the ring) takes a beating (whips) that is very emotional (moon) possibly at night? and the lovers (lily) are seperated – locked away in the tower.
I have to note here too that I have a good friend who reads tarot and asked her what she thought about my crazy (the lunatic moon – hahaha) readings. Much to my surprise she got a lot of the same information, and helped clairfy some of mine in addition to filling in some blanks. Now again, there is a possibility that there is something else here.
If I look again, it somewhat reinforces the message of the shustah deck. In our forcefulness in trying to make a job “materialize” we might have almost beaten the magical horse to death and could have potentially wound up isolated and impoverished. Our ideas about how this ”should” happen were not in line with the established norms (the unicorn). If instead we wait a while (the lily could indicate winter months as well) we might have better fortune with my husband securing (ring – contracts) a job (the large institutional kind as indicated again by the tower). He may even have more than one offer as indicated by the whips (which has been a recurring message as well).
I should mention at this juncture that I despise long waits…

Oh sweetie, I hate to say it, but there are times when patience is valuable. Don’t push. Maybe this is showing what happens if you do push.
This one comes to you – the job, the move – you don’t chase it, because if you chase it, you could chase it away.
My humble two cents, anyway. Hang in there!

As usual, Chanah- excellent advice.
I think the Great Lesson for both my husband and I here is about patience. We both have very little as of late. I believe too that the other layer of the lesson is to live in the now and to stop looking behind and ahead so much. It’s not to say that planning isn’t a good idea, but we became so wrapped up in waiting that we missed out on other opportunities that would have enriched our lives.
It’s time to get back to living. It will come when the time is right.
I am so happy to see you back on the blog scene
Thanks so much for dropping by and adding your two cents. They are always welcome here.
