I must apologize – I will be image free until I am able to figure out where the battery charger for my camera is.

I decided on a three card draw today.  I was fine until I threw the last card.  So here it goes…:

Blue 13 Angel of Summer

Blue 12 The Divine Horse

Red 7 The Whip

Blue pages are cards of benignancy, serenity and contructive endeavour.    Red pages are cards of adversity, trouble, severity and disappointments.

So I am going about my benign and serene business feeling constructive, only to get slammed with trouble and adversity that leaves me severly disappointed.  LOL.. on to the actual card meanings, shall we?

Position One is the premise – Angel of Summer.  This is a timing card (summer season) and is the card of success.

Position Two is the Problem or Situation – Divine Horse.  This is a protective card and relates to happiness at home and emotional safety.  Hmmm.. and then there was

Position Three is the result – The Whip.  This is about discipline and physical difficulties.  Ironically, it speaks of emotional UNhappiness.

The other quality of the whip is struggle of attainment and karmic stregthening of character.  And sadly, this is where I am.  

Initially I looked and felt saddened, however upon looking again I don’t feel as bad.  While what I am going through may indeed be a test (we all suffer through them in life – it is the nature of the beast if you will..) the message is that I am protected, something I have always felt strongly and have confirmation of here.  I can also take heart in that the premise (the summer) is almost over, and the premise is also success.  I can “pass” this test as I have many others in my life.  So while it appears foreboding on the surface, it’s actually quite comforting and appropriate for today.

Just because I can, (lol) I flipped the deck over to see the bottom card, and it was Yellow 14 – the Lord of Power, which is about concentraition and channeling of energy, which immediately left me thinking about something a good friend reminded me of today regarding the power of attraction.  It made me smile a little wider.  Apparently a little self-discipline (whip) will go a long way for me 🙂
